Reporting note: this article draws on Malaysian Football League; Score808 Live provides the summary and editorial framing.

The Liga Super 2026/27 calendar runs from 21 August 2026 to 23 May 2027. Twelve clubs play a home-and-away league format, producing 22 rounds for each team. The season sits inside a wider Malaysian and Asian football calendar, so the useful way to save it is to combine the major dates with a current match schedule.

Liga Super dates to save

  • 21 August 2026: JDT vs Kuching City opens the league and doubles as the Piala Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah match.
  • 21-24 August 2026: the opening Liga Super match window after the Sabah-Star City date update.
  • 1-2 September 2026: scheduled opening of the Piala FA competition.
  • 16 January 2027: scheduled Piala FA final.
  • 22-24 January 2027: scheduled opening of Piala Malaysia.
  • 10-11 February 2027: scheduled start of the MFL Challenge Cup quarter-finals.
  • 23 May 2027: scheduled final date of the Liga Super campaign.
  • 30 May 2027: scheduled Piala Malaysia final.

Why a published fixture can change

The MFL says its planning considers FIFA international windows, the AFF competition, AFC Champions League Elite and AFC Champions League Two, the ASEAN Club Championship, team travel, VAR operations, public holidays and venue work. A continental draw or venue conflict can therefore move a date, time or stadium after the first PDF is released.

There is already a practical example: Sabah vs Star City was moved by one day because Stadium Likas was needed for an AFC Women's Champions League event. Penang home-venue arrangements were also revised. A search result or social image can preserve an older date, while the current Liga Super jadual can reflect the latest data.

How to read the 22-round season

Each club faces the other 11 teams twice, once home and once away. The table therefore compares clubs across the same number of scheduled league opponents. Use the results archive to review completed rounds and the standings for matches played, wins, draws, losses, goal difference and points.

The calendar date tells you when a round was planned; the live match record tells you whether a game is upcoming, in progress, postponed or complete. That distinction matters when a club has games in hand.
