Kelantan Red Warrior will compete in Liga Super 2026/27 after the Malaysian Football League confirmed the club for the place vacated by PDRM.
How Kelantan Red Warrior entered the league
PDRM withdrew before the season to focus on restructuring its club management. Kelantan Red Warrior had finished fourth in Liga A1 and completed the financial documentation required for promotion consideration. The MFL described the club as better prepared than the other applicants for the opening.
This was a replacement, not a league expansion. Liga Super still has 12 clubs.
