Editorial Policy

This policy describes how Score808 Live produces what you read, and what to do when we get something wrong.

Where our data comes from

Live scores, fixtures, league tables and squad information are supplied by a commercial sports data provider and updated automatically. We do not retype or adjust those figures by hand. If a provider figure is wrong, it is wrong on our site until the provider corrects it — the honest limit of any live-score product, ours included.

How our articles are produced

Our news and analysis are written from provider data and reputable published reporting, and are published under a consistent set of section bylines whose beats are listed on our authors page. Articles carry the date they were published and the date they were last changed.

What we will not do

We do not invent quotes, statistics, transfer fees or attributions. We do not present rumour as confirmed: where a report is speculative we say so and name who reported it. We do not claim broadcast rights, official status, or a relationship with a club or league that we do not have.

Corrections

If something is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Factual errors are corrected on the page itself, and where the correction changes the meaning of the story we note what changed and when. We do not quietly delete articles to make a mistake disappear. Write to us through the contact page.

Independence and commercial links

Some links on this site are commercial. They never determine which stories we cover or how a result is reported.
