The Liga Super Malaysia 2026/27 season starts on 21 August 2026 and runs until 23 May 2027. This guide uses the final club list announced by the Malaysian Football League (MFL), replacing earlier provisional information.
Which 12 clubs are in Liga Super?
The confirmed clubs are Johor Darul Ta'zim, Kuching City, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur City, Terengganu, Star City, Negeri Sembilan, Penang, Sabah, DPMM, Melaka and Kelantan Red Warrior.
Kelantan Red Warrior entered after PDRM withdrew. UM-Damansara United applied through the licensing process but was not selected for the final field.
Season format and dates
With 12 clubs, each side meets every other club home and away across 22 league rounds. The opening match is JDT against Kuching City on 21 August, while the final league date is scheduled for 23 May 2027. Fixtures can still move for broadcast, venue or continental-competition reasons.
