Gong Badak is usually a tough trip, but JDT made Terengganu vs JDT look routine on Sunday, 18 October.
How the goals came
Bergson breaks it open (26')
Talismanic striker Bergson da Silva scored the opener midway through the first half.
Arribas before the break (43')
Óscar Arribas doubled the lead two minutes before half-time.
The penalty miss that ended Terengganu's chance
In the 64th minute, referee Razlan Joffri Ali pointed to the spot after Kevin Medina brought down Gervane Kastaneer. Mateus Gustavo didn't convert it, and Terengganu never got that close again.
Zahedi adds a third late on
Substitute Shahab Zahedi scored the third two minutes from time.
Terengganu vs JDT: what it means
JDT are on 18 points from six games with 28 scored and 0 conceded. Terengganu stay ninth on 5 points. StraitScore relayed a Makan Bola report that injuries had disrupted the Terengganu camp's preparations.
Before the season we said the title defence would come down to depth. So far that's held, because JDT still won with Zahedi on the bench. For Terengganu's outlook, see our season preview.
