New Football Infrastructure in Cavite
Melmac Sports officially inaugurated a FIFA-standard football pitch in Villar City, located in Dasmariñas, Cavite, establishing a permanent base for grassroots development and competitive play in the region. The project, opened on Saturday, September 26, is situated across a 3.5-hectare property designated for sports competitions, athlete training, and future community facilities.
Leadership and Academy Development
The facility was launched through a collaboration involving All Star Properties Inc. President and CEO Mel Macasaquit alongside former Philippine national team players Misagh Bahadoran and Simon Greatwich. Former Senator Manny Villar, chairman of Villar Land Holdings, attended the opening along with Chief Operating Officer Mary Lee Sardiasa and Division Head Engineer Allan Santos.
A primary function of the venue is serving as the permanent headquarters for G8 Academy, the youth football program headed by Greatwich. The objective is to provide a structured training hub to nurture emerging domestic talent for national youth pools and elite development pathways.
“We hope this new facility gives young players a place to develop their skills, build their confidence, chase their dreams, and hopefully become the next generation of Philippine football players,” said Macasaquit.
